 Cleanup Handler
=================

The :term:`cleanup handler` is responsible for general housekeeping
tasks, to remove stale data/files etc.

This handler does not actually "do" the cleanup directly; rather it
invokes all registered :term:`cleaners <cleaner>` to do the cleanup.

The cleanup is typically scheduled to run overnight (via
:ref:`wutta-cleanup`), but could be ran more often (or not at all) as
needed.

The base class and default cleanup handler is
:class:`wuttjamaican.cleanup.CleanupHandler`.

The :term:`app handler` is responsible for creating the cleanup
handler via
:meth:`~wuttjamaican.app.AppHandler.get_cleanup_handler()`::

   app = config.get_app()
   cleanup = app.get_cleanup_handler()
